The hard hit Italy received from COVID and its rigid lockdown policies dragged the country in a deep recession, leaving the population tired and uncovering many problems in the structure of society and the government, making apparent the need to invest in healthcare, education and a more sustainable living. While covid was happening and we were distracted by the news, many countries decided to invest their future funds into military and polluting activities rather than in what is more urgent for the people.
Greenpeace decided to reveal this data in an advertising campaign in major Italian cities, with posters in key commuters points.
The campaign was aimed at converting people that aren’t normally involved with GP activities because they consider the fight for a more sustainable future a luxury they can’t afford. GP wanted to be at the side of the people, the taxpayers, the key workers and encourage them to take action by signing their petition to tell the government where they want tax funds to be spent.
